Randall Alva Terrill

Randall Alva Terrill of Bartlesville, Oklahoma went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born on March 23, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of John Alva and Ollie Josephine Terrill. Randall graduated from John F. Hodge High School in St. James, Missouri in 1959. He joined the US Air Force in June 1960 and served eleven years, being honorably discharged in March of 1971. On June 11, 1960, he married Doris Lee Pendleton of Belle, Missouri and they were blessed with four children. While in the Air Force, he felt the call from the Lord to enter the ministry. After being discharged in 1971, he began attending Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, Missouri. While attending college he pastored the Fair Play Baptist Church in Fair Play, Missouri. He graduated in 1975 and began studies at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas in the fall of 1975. While attending seminary, he pastored the Swan Baptist Church in Swan, Texas. He graduated in 1979 and accepted a call to pastor the First Baptist Church in Independence, Kansas. He then enrolled in Luther Rice Seminary graduating in 1983 with a Doctor of Ministry Degree. After serving Independence for 11 years, he accepted the pastorate at First Baptist Church in Leavenworth, Kansas. After serving there for almost 20 years, he retired in March 2009 and moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Along with Doris they joined the First Baptist Church in Dewey, Oklahoma in 2009. From 2016 to 2025, Randall pastored Labadie Heights Baptist Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Randall was preceded in death by his wife Doris on July 14, 2023, his parents and three brothers: David Wayne Terrill at age one month in 1950, Hubert Leon Terrill in February 2015, and George Rueben Terrill in 2019. He is survived by three daughters and one son. Debbie Alford and husband Mike of Independence, KS., her twin sister Betty Pitchford and husband Chuck of Bartlesville, OK., Linda Beeman of Bartlesville, OK., and Randall Terrill Jr. and wife Lisa of Lansing, KS. He is survived by 10 grandchildren & 1 step grandchild: Brandon & Jeremy Alford, step-grandson, Andrew Pitchford, Lori Eisenhour, Leslie, Lennox, & Lance Beeman, Robin Klein, Jonathan, Jeffrey, and Brooklynn Terrill. He is survived by 17 great grandchildren & 2 step great grandchildren, Allie, Ethan, Leah, Maggie, Noah, Allyn, Noelle, Clayton, Luke, Logan, Chace, Reagan, Alva John, Elijah, Jeremiah, Evan, Mia, Harper, & Easton. Randall is also survived by one sister, Janet DiCarlo (her late husband Joe), and his brother, Robert Terrill, both of St. James, MO. Memorials may be given to Labadie Heights Baptist Church through Davis Family Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, at Labadie Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 11:00 AM, also at Labadie Heights Baptist Church. Cremation will take place following the service. Graveside service and burial will take place at the High Gate Baptist Cemetery on Saturday, April 18, at 11:00 AM in St. James, MO.
